Health and COVID Policies: Arrive Healthy, Stay Healthy

Travel exposes us to many people who may be contagious with a variety of illnesses and respiratory viruses. We will be vigilant in watching public health trends and restrictions for Spain. We will keep you advised of any new requirements. We hope you will partner with us in keeping everyone in the group as healthy as possible through the following measures:

Vaccination Requirements: We strongly encourage travelers to be vaccinated and boosted for COVID. They should also be vaccinated for other communicable diseases like influenza (flu), as recommended by the CDC.

Masking: We are a mask-friendly environment. Please carry an N95 mask with you at all times, in case it is needed. While en route to Spain, we ask that you wear an N95 mask in transit. This will protect you and the rest of the group from possible exposure to illness in crowded airports, security lines, and on flights.

During the trip, we expect you to wear a mask if you have symptoms of any type of cold or respiratory illness.

COVID19: Because of its contagious nature, potential serious health impacts, and our itinerary on The Artsy Way, we have specific Covid policies. If you have symptoms of COVID-19, you will need to take a rapid test. If the test is negative but you still have respiratory illness symptoms, you’ll be asked to separate from the group. This may involve eating alone and wearing a mask around others, and/or evacuation, depending on the severity of your symptoms. If you test positive for COVID-19, you will have to leave the trip. We will do our best to help you find medical care and arrange transport and lodging in Santiago de Compostela. However, you are responsible for all logistics, care, and related costs for your evacuation. This includes meals, lodging, transportation, and medical expenses.

The global health environment is constantly changing. Our policies may evolve as we consider new guidance and recommendations from health agencies.
