My first adventure away from home and family was to India during a high school cultural exchange with the Girl Scouts. And so began my love of world travel and discovery of cultures.
I lived in a rural village in Honduras when I worked in women’s community development as a Peace Corps Volunteer.
For more than two decades I have guided adventure travel trips –and trekked throughout Central America, to Machu Picchu, and to the top of Kilimanjaro.
I have always carried my journal along and on a trek in Nepal in 2000, I brought along some colored pencils. The local kids began drawing in my journal and that began my passion of looking and sketching my adventures.
I am also an avid backpacker, yoga instructor, gardener, and naturalist. I graduated from Mankato State University in Biology Education and Regis University with a Masters in Nonprofit Management.
